Sylph is a collective summon of faeries. Their name is シルフ [sylph] in Japanese. When summoned, they draw HP from the enemies and distribute it among the party members. It is similar to the Faerie summon.

To obtain Sylph in Final Fantasy IV, one must first awaken Yang Fang Leiden in the Sylph Cave. First visit Yang and the faeries, and then return to Fabul to speak to Sheila Leiden. After you receive the Frying Pan from her, return to the Sylph Cave. After this chain of events, you will receive the Sylph summon.
