Miffed Merchant

Lefwyne: noticed something off about the stalls today, friend? Aye, not so lively as normal, are they? Ain't no surprise, neither. None among us was able to come up with what Fafajon was looking for, see, and he weren't too happy about it.
He's one of the richest men around these parts, and new to them as well. Just came up from Ul'dah, where he made his fortune.
He had a mind to set up some new dealings with the Knights of Ishgard, selling them Mun-Tuy brew. Hell of a drink, that. Puts you flat on your back and feeling it for a week.
But brewing it ain't no easy thing. You've got to get your hands on a waspwing stone - a bloody rare thing. And that's what Fafajon was 'round here looking for.
Now every merchant in Gridania's running about like an opo-opo with its head chopped off. Can't blame them, though. Being in the good graces of Fafajon'll get damn near anyone damn near anything they fancy.
Me? Hells, I ain't the type to dive headfirst into a blooming ruction without a damn good reason.
So what I'd like to know first is what them Ishgardians think of the brew Fafajon's already sent. Don't see no point in tracking down the nectar if they ain't pleased with the product.
Why get your knickers in a twist if they don't even like the bloody stuff? So how's about doing ol' Lefwyne a favor? Head over to Owl's Nest in Coerthas and ask the Ishgardians face-to-face how the Mun-Tuy brew sits with 'em.
(quest accept)
Lefwyne: I owe you a debt, friend. Now, things can get a bit hairy out that way, so be sure and steer clear of danger, you hear?

Lefwyne: Bugger the bloody nectar for now. I want to know what the Ishgardians think of the brew Fafajon's already sent first. Hurry to Owl's Nest in Coerthas, and ask them yourself. I'll be waiting right here.

Foul Brew

(Owl's Nest)
Janlenoux: Have you business here, traveler?
Mun-Tuy brew? You speak of the drink sent us by the merchant Fafajon, yes?
Truth be told, we had our doubts. That Lalafell is not the most reputable looking fellow, but in the end he was as good as his word.
This drink, This Mun-Tuy - I am told it is brewed by fermenting a bean mash of some sort. Drinking it seems to have an immediate effect on a man's vigor. It is rich in nutrients, and keeps easily besides. It must be consumed in moderation, to be sure - lest we have a drunken army - but the same could be said of all such draughts. Still…it does have one…minor drawback.
The stuff reeks! Urgh, gods, just thinking about it is enough t- <heave> …I swear by the Twelve, it's the most revolting bloody smell your nostrils will ever have the misfortune to know! <heave>

(Gridania)
Lefwyne: Good to see you made it back alive. Tell us, then, what'd the good Knights of Ishgard think of the Mun-Tuy brew?
"Invigorating", eh? Well, leave it to Fafajon. The man's a true merchant, he is. Bloody hells, if this deal is made, he'll have extended his influence form the Sea of Ash to the Spine.
But they've no stomach for the stink of it, have they? Well, ain't no surprise there. Without sourleaf nectar, Mun-Tuy brew reeks like a latrine in a smokehouse. Gods know how they managed to down that.
Well then, it looks as if I still have need of you, friend. Go and gather me a dollop of sourleaf nectar. Let's do the Ishgardians a kindness and make their brew a bit more quaffable.
Oh, come now, you adventurers maim beastmen and fell dragons. Surely one dollop of sourleaf nectar won't pose a challenge. Just head into the Twelveswood and travel to Humblehearth. Kill any sourleaf roselets yo come across and extract the nectar form their remains.

Eye on the Future

Lefwyne: Ahhh, sourleaf nectar. Now this is sure to please Fafajon!
Can you see it, <Player>? My very own shop, right here in the Ebony Stalls! My own lord and master, without a gil of debt to my name! A good merchant always keeps one eye on the future, <Player>.
When that day comes, rest assured, you'll never have to pay full price. Hells, you're practically my partner! For now, though, take this, and my thanks along with it.
