Kids These Days

S035 - Kids These Days

Some of our younger clan members have been carrying on in the pub, disturbing the peace, as it were. I reckon it's best to teach them a good lesson now, and nip the problem in the bud. That's where you come in. Give 'em a good thrashing for me!
Criek, Clan Criek leader

Strategy

It's a pretty straight-forward battle, nothing too hard. The strongest enemy is the White Monk, who has Air Render. If possible, try to take him out before he does too much damage. The Thief - like most enemy Thieves in this game - is somewhat annoying in that he'll fairly often try to steal your gil, although at this point, he probably wouldn't get very much. The Archer likes doing Focus every other turn (although not always), so watch out that he doesn't do some unexpected damage to your backline mages. There isn't much to say about the other three — out of all three, the Bangaa is the hardest to kill, and the Viera the easiest. Both the Warrior and the Soldier will sometimes do Rend Power or Rend Magick, which will be either somewhat of a pain or completely useless — the AI won't differentiate between physical and magical fighters.

Script

Soldier: Hah!
I didn’t even think those -were- ears!

Thief: That was nothing.
You should’ve been here when he found that case of rabbits.

Warrior: That’s not the half of it!
The look on Criek’s face when he found out…priceless!

White Monk: That it was, that it was.
That’s why I always say—

Soldier: Hm?

Soldier: Look what the moogle dragged in.
This here is by invitation, and I don’t recall sendin’ one out to you. Get lost!

Luso: We’re not going anywhere.

Soldier: Just who do you think you’re talkin’ to? Let’s get ’em, boys!

Luso: So much for talk. Looks as though a fight is the only thing that will get through to them.

—-

Luso: Maybe that will give them something to think about.
