Balthier (バルフレア [balflear] in Japanese) is a sky pirate from Final Fantasy XII, 22 years old during the original game. The name is one he took upon himself once he became a sky pirate, his real name is Ffamran Mied Bunansa (ファムラン・ミド・ブナンザ [ffamran mid bunanza]) and he's the son of a high-ranking Archadian scientist Cid Demen Bunansa. He owns the airship Strahl, and travels with his partner Fran. He's 183 cm tall.
Balthier's Japanese seiyuu was Hiroaki Hirata, and English voice actor Gideon Emery.
