Squire (見習い戦士 [minarai senshi] or 'warrior in training' in Japanese) is a job so far exclusive to Final Fantasy Tactics. It is the basic job where all physical jobs branch from. While it is hard to generalize based on just one game, they appear to wear light armor. The most famous character example of Squires is Ramza Beoulve.

Squire is a bit of a special job, despite (and because of) being the basic one. It is in fact not available to all characters, as on all story characters it is replaced by their character-specific job. In several cases however, that character-specific job is a modified Squire with the same name. This page presents all variations of the Squire job.
