Jobs in My Life as a King

This page remains incomplete.

My Life as a King features a simple four-job system. Of the different races in the game, only Clavats can be on any job you choose. Selkie are always Thieves, Lilty are always Warriors, and Yuke are always Black Mages (if they are male) or White Mages (if they are female). The default job for Clavats is Warrior, and they require special buildings to change to a different one.

Aspiring Adventurers

You will have a chance of hiring any aspiring adventurers in your realm. Each house can support one aspiring adventurer, no more. At the time you hire them, their stats will change to reflect the default job - Warrior for Clavat and Lilty, Thief for Selkie, and White Mage or Black Mage for Yuke. Before this, their stats will be in a basic state.

These basic stats can be influenced by placing an adventurer's house close to any of the adventurer training buildings - Training Hall, Gaming Hall, Black Mage Academy and White Mage Academy. Each building will influence different stats. However, this influence isn't permanent until the aspiring adventurer is hired. Should you remove their house from the influence, their stats will change to their original ones - or to reflect the influence of a new training building nearby.

No matter the race, an adventurer just starting out will have one level 1 Potion and one level 1 Antidote, and no other items. Clavats will start out with no abilities, but Selkie will have Keen Eyes, a Lilty Guard, a female Yuke Cure and a male Yuke Fire. Each of these abilities is a level 1 ability only.

Black Mage

The Black Mage relies on high Intellect stat and knocking out their enemies before they can deal out too much damage to the Black Mage. Their Toughness is low, so they are not very well suited for solo adventuring, unless the enemies are of a lower level.
Black Mages will equip robes instead of body armor, and will use rods or daggers as a weapon.

To make job change to a Black Mage available to Clavats, your city must have at least one Black Mage Academy built. Male Yuke do not require its presence, however they cannot buy additional spells without one.

Thief

Thieves rely on high Agility stat to avoid being hit, and high Dexterity to avoid missing the enemies. In exchange, their Toughness and Strength are lower than that of Warriors. Thieves are more explorers than fighters, and their abilities reflect this. They focus mostly on avoiding enemies and exploring dungeons quicker and more efficiently.
Thieves will equip armor and some helms and gauntlets, and use daggers or swords as a weapon.

To make job change to a Thief available to Clavats, your city must have at least one Gaming Hall built. Selkie do not require its presence, however they cannot buy additional abilities without one.

Warrior

A Warrior is the main fighting unit among your adventurers. They have high Strength and Toughness to both outlast their enemies and hit them hard. Most of the time every party should include at least one Warrior to ensure the survival of your adventurers.
Warriors will equip armor, shields, helms and gauntlets, and use any kind of weapon but rods.

Both Clavat and Lilty start out as Warriors when you hire them. However, to make it possible for Clavats to change jobs back to a Warrior after they have been on another job, a Training Hall is required. A Training Hall also offers your Warriors additional skills, so be sure to build one.

White Mage

The White Mage is the healing unit of the party. They rely on Willpower for the strength to heal and enhance their party members. They can be rather fragile, and lack Strength and offensive abilities, so they are not well suited for adventuring alone. Make sure your White Mages are in a party where they can do their job.
White Mages will equip robes and instead of body armor, and use rods or hammers as a weapon.

To make job change to a White Mage available for Clavats, your city must have at least one White Mage Temple built. Female Yuke do not require its presence, however they cannot buy additional spells without one.
