Hunter

Hunter (either 狩人 [karyuudo] ('hunter') or ハンター [hunter] in Japanese) is often an alternate translation of the title of the job usually known as Ranger. It is also somewhat similar to Archer, and technically the closest job to it is the Archer job in Final Fantasy Tactics.
Hunters use projectile weapons as their weapon of choice. They also specialize in capturing or poaching wild animals and monsters. The latter of these two features is its most defining feature. There are no good examples of a Hunter character, however Luso in Final Fantasy Tactics is a mix between a Hunter and a Thief. Thief can also be said to resemble the Hunter job due to its Poaching ability in FFT.

4 Heroes of Light

Differing from its Tactics counterparts, the Hunter job in 4WL (狩人 in Japanese) does not have capturing abilities, and is merely a Ranger-like job specializing in bows. In fact, their defining trait in the game is the heightened damage they deal with bows. Their Strength stat is relatively high, which is needed considering that it is the first DD job you will unlock.
The Hunter Crown is unlocked by beating the boss Ice Dragon in Inbidia Underground when you first reach the area.

Abilities

Different abilities are learnt by evolving the Crown. The list below has all the abilities as well as the jewels required to evolve the Crown to that stage.

Lv 0 - Aim
Lv 1 - Snipe (6 Rubies, 6 Emeralds)
Lv 2 - Backup (6 Rubies, 2 Topaz, 6 Aquamarines, 1 Amethyst)
Lv 3 - Certain Kill (7 Rubies, 7 Sapphires, 3 Lapis Lazuli, 2 Amethysts, 1 Diamond)

Mobius

Hunter (ハンター in Japanese) comes in two varieties. The main variety is the Hunter job card. The second is an advanced job of the Novice Ranger job card.
