Dancer (XI)

Unlocking

Dancer is one of the many advanced jobs in Final Fantasy XI. It can be unlocked by completing the lv30 quest. Accessing the quest requires the Wings of the Goddess expansion.

Stat Distributions

Basic Stats

The basic stats range in rank from A to G. The actual stat is calculated based on your race and job level. In addition to the basic stat formula, some bonuses are applied, such as traits that affect them, as well as any stats your support job contributes.

Combat Skills

Combat skills range in rank from A+ to F. In addition to the job's native skills, you may receive some skill through a support job (max skill increase) or equipments' traits (actual skill increase). Note that combat skills aren't gained automatically at level-up, but you need to use the skill to raise it. The numbers below are the caps for each level.

Finishing Moves

Finishing Moves are a special mechanic of the DNC job. Successfully using any Steps ability will generate some (two when DNC is main job except only one when that particular Step effect is already stacked five times, and always only one when DNC is set as support job), up to a maximum of five stored Finishing Moves. This maximum can be raised by certain Gift traits.
Finishing Moves are consumed by using Flourishes. How many Finishing Moves are consumed depends on the Flourish used, but they will never consume more than the initial maximum of 5.

Note that Finishing Move status wears off after 2 hours, or upon changing areas or jobs.
