Overview
Red Rooster Stead (レッドルースター農場 [red rooster noujou] or 'red rooster farm' in Japanese) is a farm in La Noscea. It used to be located in southern Bloodshore in version 1.x, but was moved to southern Cedarwood come version 2.0. This is most likely a retcon as there is no mention of a move in the game and NPCs indicate that the farm has existed for a long time, but could possibly be explained away by inconsistencies in the reborn post-Calamity realm.
Red Rooster Stead gained its name from the famed cock fights its gamekeepers would hold after dark - a bloody and messy affair to be sure. It was originally established as an experimental farm, and has maintained its positive attitude towards experimentation ever since1. Ever so, before the Calamity the farm was known to have a lot of trouble with encroaching kobolds2, and had to turn to pirates for protection. The general mood towards Lominsan rule wasn't overly positive due to their shortcomings in providing protection to good, hard-working people. These issues seem to have been resolved post-Calamity, as no trace of it can be found from NPC chatter, even despite the regular presence of kobolds in Cedarwood.
